Short Stories

Here are some stories I've used or wanted to use in my English Language Arts classes. Some are hard to find, and so I have collected them here. Each contains a part of the puzzle of what makes for good story writing. Enjoy!

An observation on parent-child relationships by John Collier (1901-1980). It is the story of the parents of a small child with a fertile imagination, who have become concerned about the amount of the kinds of play the child is engaged in.
